The Certified Professional Coder (CPC) designation sets the standard for medical coding in physician practices. The CPC exam assesses skills needed to accurately code services provided by physicians and advanced practice providers like nurse practitioners and physician assistants. CPC holders demonstrate expertise in reviewing clinical documentation, abstracting provider encounters, and applying CPT®, HCPCS Level II, and ICD-10-CM codes, along with ensuring compliance with regulatory guidelines for physician services.
The program price includes all fees, materials, and books, as well as a one-year student membership to the American Association of Professional Coders (AAPC) and two CPC test vouchers.
